Description
Storr Trail is one of the most spectacular walking trails on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The trail leads to the impressive Old Man of Storr rock formation - a 160-foot basalt spire formed by an ancient landslide.
The average level of difficulty of the trail (5 km, 340 m elevation gain) is compensated by breathtaking views of the Sound of Raasay Bay and the Scottish mainland. The route takes about 1.5 hours round trip, but it is worth reserving more time for exploration and photography.
Be sure to wear proper footwear with good traction - the trail can be uneven and slippery after rain!
