Watchman Trail - Trailhead

Watchman Trail - Trailhead is an excellent starting point for a moderately difficult 3.3-mile trail in Zion National Park.

The trail offers breathtaking views of Checkerboard Mesa, Jolley Gulch and the Virgin River. At the top, panoramic views of Springdale and Zion Canyon await, with majestic Watchman Peak to the south.

The route is suitable for hikers ages 6 and up and takes about 1.5-2.5 hours. The best time to go is early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat and enjoy the shade of the mountains.
