Pony Overlook

Pony Overlook is a unique vantage point along the Woodland Trail, offering an unforgettable experience of observing wild Chincoteague horses in their natural habitat.

From this wheelchair-accessible spot, you can view not only the famous horses, but also many other species of animals, including Delmarva squirrels, songbirds and even majestic American white-tailed eagles.

The 1.6-mile trail is asphalted and friendly to people of all mobility abilities. Be sure to bring binoculars to get a better view of the wildlife and bug spray for a more comfortable tour.
