Description
Toppenish National Wildlife Refuge is a unique wildlife refuge located in the Yakima Valley in Washington State. The nearly 2,000 acres feature a variety of habitats, including natural wetlands, riparian areas and native steppe.
It's a bird lover's paradise - sheltering more than 230 species, especially during spring and fall migrations along the Pacific Flyway. Walking along the marked paths, one can observe wild waterfowl, owls and flocks of quail.
An observation point with information boards allows for quiet contemplation of nature away from the crowds.
