Rio Grande Nature Center State Park

Rio Grande Nature Center State Park is an oasis for nature lovers in the heart of Albuquerque. The park offers exceptional birdwatching opportunities with over 250 species that can be enjoyed year-round.

Two miles of scenic trails lead through a variety of landscapes - forests, willow thickets and open sandy areas along the Rio Grande. Both inside and outside, there are special observation points from which to view ponds, ducks, swans, frogs and turtles.

The visitor center offers demonstration gardens and educational exhibits that introduce local flora and fauna.
