Description
Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix is a 3.5-acre oasis of tranquility in the heart of Phoenix. Designed by Japanese architect Hideo Sasaki, it offers an authentic experience of Japanese culture and landscape. The garden delights with traditional elements: stone bridges, lanterns and more than 85 species of plants.
Walking along the paths, you'll discover picturesque ponds with colorful koi carp, cascading waterfalls and traditional Japanese landscape elements. The tea house, built in Japan and transported to Phoenix, is the site of traditional tea ceremonies.
The garden symbolizes the enduring friendship between Japan and the United States, especially between the people of Himeji and Phoenix.
