China Cove

China Cove is an enchanting cove located in the Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. Turquoise waters and a sandy beach surrounded by spectacular rock formations create a fairy-tale landscape that delights photographers and nature lovers.

The bay is famous for its abundant marine life - colorful fish, starfish and sea urchins. In the spring you can observe seals resting on the beach and their young lounging on the sand.

A scenic Bird Island Trail leads to the bay, offering breathtaking views and the opportunity to observe seabirds nesting on the cliffs.
