Description
Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge is the largest wetland complex in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Established in 1935, it was the last known breeding site for trumpeter swans, which still find refuge here today.
The Refugium offers extraordinary wildlife viewing opportunities, from grizzly bears, elk and wolves to eagles and hawks. Two hiking trails (Odell Creek and Sparrow Pond) allow you to explore a variety of habitats.
It's a photographer's paradise, with the scenic Centennial Mountains as a backdrop, providing spectacular scenery any time of year.
