Description
Lost Maples State Natural Area is a picturesque state park in Texas, famous for its extraordinary big-leaf maples, which in autumn are stunning in a fever of colors - gold, red and orange. The spectacle rivals the most beautiful views of New England!
The park offers two main trails: the East Trail and the West Trail, each of which provides a unique nature experience. Wildlife enthusiasts can look out for lynx, peccaries or foxes. Thanks to its remoteness from the hustle and bustle of the city, it's also a great place to observe the starry sky.
For the adventurous, camping sites ranging from primitive to equipped with water and electricity are available.
