Description
Queen Emma Summer Palace is a historic gem in the heart of Honolulu, serving as the former summer residence of Hawaiian royalty. This historic palace, also known as Hānaiakamalama, was built in 1848 and served as a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city for Queen Emma, King Kamehameha IV and their son.
The palace's interiors hide a fascinating collection of royal memorabilia, antiques and regalia that transport visitors back to the heyday of the Hawaiian monarchy. The property was saved from demolition in 1915 and today is a priceless testament to Hawaii's rich culture and history.
