Description
Neutaconkanut Park is an 88-acre city park on a hilltop in Providence, offering panoramic views of the city skyline. This historic site, once owned by the Narragansett tribe, delights with 3.8 miles of hiking trails of varying difficulty.
The park combines nature with recreation - you'll find a recreation center, sports fields, a wading pool and a skate park. For history buffs, the site has special significance as a frontier in the land grants for Rhode Island founder Roger Williams.
In the winter, you can enjoy snowshoeing, and year-round enjoy the rich nature of this urban retreat.
