Gompers (Samuel) Park

Gompers (Samuel) Park is a 42-acre recreational area located on the Chicago River. It offers a unique combination of active recreation and contact with nature.

The park delights with restored wetlands and a lagoon with pier access, ideal for fishing. For the active, there is a swimming pool, baseball, basketball and soccer fields, tennis courts and a roller field hockey rink.

The youngest will love the modern playground with a separate area for toddlers. The park is also the start of the 26-mile North Branch Trail, leading to the scenic Skokie Lagoons.
