Description

St Mary the Virgin Church is a charming 12th century church located in the picturesque village of Turville. This historic landmark is stunning in architecture with its distinctive use of flint and limestone, as well as a squat bell tower dating back to 1340.

The interior conceals real treasures: a marble statue of William Perry, stained glass windows commemorating the Parry family, and a stone sarcophagus from the 16th century.

The church has also made a name for itself in pop culture as the filming location for the TV series 'The Vicar of Dibley' and the 1942 film "Went the Day Well?"
