Description
Montaña Escanfraga is the highest volcano on the island of Fuerteventura, rising 530 meters above sea level. Its distinctive 'table mountain' shape, with a flat plateau and peak to the left, makes it a recognizable landmark on the northern part of the island.
The trail to the plateau is relatively easy and takes about 30-40 minutes from the parking lot. The mountain offers breathtaking views of the island of Lobos and Lanzarote on clear days.
The route is ideal for families and novice hikers - regular athletic shoes are sufficient for the plateau, although trekking shoes are recommended for the top.
