Llano de Las Ánimas

Llano de Las Ánimas is a unique place on the island of La Palma, known for one of the most difficult bicycle climbs in the world. This 15.7-kilometer stretch with an elevation gain of 1989 meters and an incline of more than 30% is quite a challenge for lovers of extreme thrills.

The area also impresses with its lush nature - spectacular Tajinaste flowers bloom here in May and June, and almond trees in winter. Numerous hiking trails, including GR 130 and PR LP 10, lead through the scenic countryside, and glass-enclosed vantage points on the Izcagua Gorge give the impression of floating in the air.
