Description
Parque Rural de Doramas is a vast natural park located in the northern part of Gran Canaria. It covers more than 3,500 hectares and impresses with a rich vegetation that includes more than 400 plant species, 30 of which are endemic to Gran Canaria.
The park is named after a Guanche warrior, Addur amasa, who fought against the Spanish conquest in the 15th century. Within the park is the Osorio estate with a 19th-century house that now serves as an educational center.
Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the numerous hiking trails, bird-watching opportunities and unique geological formations, including the Azuaje and Moya gorges.
