Parque El Retiro

Parque El Retiro is a historic park with a rich royal past. Originally owned by the Spanish monarchy, it became a public park in 1868.

On its 142 hectares you will find more than 15,000 trees, numerous fountains, sculptures and gardens. You can admire architectural remains, including a 1634 lake where theatrical performances were once held.

The park offers a variety of activities: boating, picnicking, walking and exploring the gardens. It's the perfect place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
