Museum of Nature and Archaeology

Museum of Nature and Archaeology is a fascinating place where you will encounter the world's largest collection of mummies of the Guanche culture - the indigenous people of Tenerife. Some of them are as old as 17 centuries!

Here you'll also see impressive fossils of prehistoric animals, including a giant lizard, a giant rat and a giant tortoise that once inhabited the Canary Islands.

The museum is housed in the historic neoclassical building of the former Civil Hospital, which adds to the site's charm and historical significance.
