Virgen de Fátima

Virgen de Fátima is an impressive historical monument in Tenerife that impresses with its religious and cultural significance. The two-meter-high statue made of pure granite, weighing one and a half tons, attracts pilgrims and lovers of sacred art.

This unique site is associated with the 1917 Marian apparitions of Fatima in Portugal. The statue was canonically crowned by Pope Pius XII in 1946, making it an important spot on the map of Catholic shrines.

It is well worth a visit during the 13th of the month from May to October, when the largest religious celebrations take place.
