La Motte Wine Farm

La Motte Wine Farm is a unique wine estate in the picturesque Franschhoek Valley. This historic gem boasts four historic buildings, including the 1751 Manor House and the only working water mill in the area.

Wine lovers will appreciate the award-winning liquors, whose tradition dates back to 1752, when the first 4,000 vines were planted here. The property also offers a 5-kilometer hiking trail through the vineyards and protea garden, monthly classical music concerts and a collection of artwork by South African artist Jacob Hendrik Pierneef.
