Šmarna gora

Šmarna gora is a picturesque mountain located just north of Ljubljana, offering unforgettable views of the city, the Alps and the Dolenjska region.

With its distinctive double-peaked shape (peaks of 669 and 676 meters above sea level) and more than 15 well-marked trails, it is an ideal destination for people of all ages.

At the summit awaits a Baroque church, a traditional wishing bell and the Gostilna Ledinek restaurant serving local delicacies like ričet (krupnik) and štruklji (cheese dumplings). The climb takes about 40 minutes, and the views at sunrise are absolutely spectacular!
