Slovenian Mountain Hiking Trail

The Slovenian Mountain Hiking Trail is one of the oldest long-distance trails in Europe, covering some 499 km. It leads from Maribor to Ankaran, crossing some of Slovenia's most beautiful regions, including the Julian Alps and Triglav National Park.

The trail offers breathtaking views of diverse landscapes - from mountain ridges to alpine valleys. Along the route there are more than 50 mountain huts providing accommodation and hot meals.

Experienced hikers will find it a challenge full of steep climbs and exposed sections, but you can also opt for shorter sections suited to less advanced hikers.
