Description
Skara Brae is one of the best-preserved Neolithic settlements in Western Europe, some 5,000 years old.
Discovered by a storm in 1850, it impresses with its authentic stone slab houses equipped with hearths, beds and cupboards. The site is part of the Heart of Neolithic Orkney, a UNESCO site.
The visitor center showcases fascinating artifacts, including tools, jewelry and pottery, which provide a glimpse into the daily lives of prehistoric farmers, hunters and fishermen. A replica house allows you to fully experience life thousands of years ago.
