Description

Sinwell Tower is a cylindrical defense tower from the 13th century, part of Nuremberg Castle. Its name in medieval German means 'unusually round'.

The viewing platform at the top of the tower offers a breathtaking panorama of Nuremberg's old center. A wooden spiral staircase dating back to the 18th/19th century leads to the top, where you can view the city from a completely different perspective.

Inside the tower is an exhibition featuring old photographs of Nuremberg after World War II, showing the destruction and subsequent reconstruction of the castle and the city.
