Botanical Art Gallery (Inverturret)

Botanical Art Gallery (Inverturret) is a unique combination of art and science in a historic 1906 building. The gallery displays more than 2,000 botanical paintings, hundreds of sketches and photographs, highlighting the role of art in the scientific documentation of the plants of Singapore and the region.

The historic interior, with marble floors and hand-blown glass, features works by famous artists, including James the Alwis. An activity room allows guests to try their hand at botanical illustration techniques - sketching, mixing colors and composing layouts.
