TheatreWorks (S) Ltd

TheatreWorks (S) Ltd is an independent, non-profit theater group founded in 1985 that has become an important part of Singapore's cultural scene.

It is housed in a historic building that was once a rice warehouse, but now serves as a versatile space that can function as a gallery, cinema, theater or event venue.

The theater is known for its interdisciplinary and cross-cultural productions, promotes Singaporean writing and supports local playwrights through initiatives such as Writers' Laboratory. It also offers residencies for visual artists and documentary filmmakers.
