S:ta Birgittas kloster Pax Mariae

S:ta Birgittas kloster Pax Mariae is a unique monastery in Vadstena, founded in 1935 by Maria Elisabeth Hesselblad, a Swedish nun.

The place exudes history and spirituality, offering an unforgettable experience for lovers of culture and religious heritage. The convent can accommodate twenty nuns and has a traditional 'grass garden' surrounded by a high brick wall.

On the grounds is the Sancta Birgitta Klostermuseum, which highlights the medieval heritage of St. Brigid. The museum is housed in a palace built by Birger Jarl in the 1360s.
