Bleder See

Bleder See is a picturesque glacial lake located in the Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia. This enchanting gem of nature impresses with its turquoise water and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

In the middle of the lake is a charming island with the 17th-century Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which can be reached by a traditional 'pletna' boat. Overlooking the lake is the oldest castle in Slovenia, dating back to 1011, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.
