Ritter Hattstein-Brunnen

Ritter Hattstein-Brunnen is a unique red sandstone fountain depicting the figure of Friedrich von Hattstein, a historical figure who underwent a transformation from a knight-errant to a respected captain of the city of Limburg in 1353.

The sculpture shows him in an unusual pose - drinking wine from a barrel, standing on a dog, with a dwarf in his pocket. This unique monument, designed by a local artist in 1985, is the perfect starting point for exploring the charming old town.
