Río Higuerón

Río Higuerón is a scenic hiking trail in the heart of the Sierra de Tejeda Natural Park, Almijara y Alhama.

This 12-kilometer trail offers an unforgettable experience - hiking along the bed of a crystal clear river, passing through flowering mountain gorges and forests.

During the hike you can enjoy breathtaking views, small waterfalls and discover the ruins of Lizar Castle, accessible via the historic Acequia de Lizar irrigation canal.
