Tah Tooh Shrine

Tah Tooh Shrine is a fascinating Chinese temple located on a hilltop in the northern part of Koh Phangan Island. Dedicated to the Chinese Goddess of Mercy Guanyin, it impresses with its colorful architecture with bright orange and turquoise roofs and beautiful sculptures of dragons, Buddhas and warriors.

Built in 1992 after Guanyin appeared in a dream to a woman named Malawan, ordering her to build a lighthouse for fishermen. The temple offers breathtaking views of the green mountainsides and the island's northern coast.
