Description
Christ Church Cathedral in Waterford is a unique monument of Georgian style architecture - the only one of its kind in all of Europe!
Built between 1773 and 1779 on the site of a former Viking church, it impresses with its elegant tower and cream-gray color scheme. The interior of the cathedral charms with Baroque stucco on the ceiling and a rich history dating back more than 1,000 years.
Medieval vestments were discovered during construction and can now be seen in the Treasure Museum in Waterford and the National Museum in Dublin.
