Description
Holy Trinity Church is a unique Anglican church in Headington Quarry, designed in the Decorative Gothic style by George Gilbert Scott. Built between 1848 and 1949, it is resplendent with beautiful stained glass windows, including the famous 1991 'Narnia window', depicting motifs from 'The Chronicles of Narnia'.
The site has special significance for literature lovers - C.S. Lewis, author of 'The Chronicles of Narnia,' regularly attended this church from 1930 until his death and is buried in the church's cemetery. It's a real treat for fans of his work and those interested in literary history.
