Refuge du Requin

Refuge du Requin is a unique mountain chalet located on a terrace above the Mer de Glace glacier. The name means 'shark's hut' and comes from the distinctive fin-like rock towering over the property.

The site offers unforgettable views of the surrounding glaciers and peaks, including Séracs du Géant. In winter it is a popular stop for skiers descending the Vallee Blanche route, and in summer it is a paradise for climbers and mountaineers.

The chalet has dormitory accommodations and serves meals on a picturesque terrace. It's an ideal base for exploring nearby climbing routes, such as the Aiguille du Plan and Aiguille du Tacul.
