Description
Tresco Abbey Garden, Shop & Café is a unique garden established in 1834 by Augustus Smith. On its 7 acres, you'll find more than 5,000 species of exotic plants that thrive in the warm, humid climate of Tresco Island.
The garden surrounds the ruins of a Benedictine abbey, and at the Valhalla Museum you can admire a collection of 30 bow figurines from ships that crashed off the coast of the Isles of Scilly.
It's a nature lover's paradise - the garden has been home to red squirrels since 2012. After exploring, relax in a cozy cafe or buy souvenirs in the store offering plants and local products.
