Description
Sommarøy is a picturesque island in the western part of the municipality of Tromsø, Norway, known as the 'island without time'. It offers white sandy beaches reminiscent of the Riviera and crystal clear waters.
This unique place is famous for its unusual natural phenomena - the midnight sun (from late May to mid-July) and the aurora borealis (from September to April). The lack of light pollution makes it an ideal place to observe these phenomena.
The island offers numerous activities such as kayaking, hiking and boat cruises where you can see whales and dolphins.

Ankita Sahu4 months agoBeautiful and secluded island. One of the best spots of the world. In the month of march it is fully covered with snow. Best place to view northern lights as well.
P.S2 years agoSuch beautiful sandy beaches. Several small beach areas to stop at. Or you can go to the largest beach, where there were a lot of people when we visited, but there is so much space that you didn't feel cramped.

There is a lot of spot with beautiful view that you can stop over and enjoy this amazing view.Where are we?
