Description
Sea of Stars is a magical phenomenon of bioluminescence on Vaadhoo Beach in the Maldives. Microscopic plankton organisms called dinoflagellates emit blue light when waves move them, creating the illusion of a starry sky on the ocean's surface.
The best time to observe this phenomenon is August-October or April-November, especially during the new moon when the sky is darkest. Locals call this phenomenon 'Redhan lun' and attribute significance to it in Maldivian folklore.
Plan a romantic walk along the seashore or a night swim, where every movement leaves a glowing trail behind. It is an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and photographers.
