Description
Fonte Luminosa is an impressive fountain dating back to 1948, which was built after a tragic fire in the Alto do Pena neighborhood.
Its modernist design with geometric shapes and traditional Portuguese tiles (azulejos) tells the story of Lisbon's cultural heritage.
The most spectacular view awaits you in the evening, when the illuminated streams of water create a magical spectacle against the night sky. From 13 holes, water flows into three pairs of large, overlapping bowls, all complemented by numerous statues of female figures.
