Description
The Royal Castle in Warsaw is a jewel of Polish architecture and a symbol of the sovereignty of the Polish state. This former residence of rulers impresses with its rich history dating back to the 14th century and impressive architectural evolution combining Gothic, Mannerist and Baroque styles.
It was here that the May 3 Constitution was passed, and the king organized the famous 'Thursday dinners' for scientists and artists. Visiting the castle's chambers, you can admire priceless works of art and feel the spirit of the Polish Enlightenment.
The 60-meter-high Sigismund Tower with its gilded clock is a landmark of the Warsaw landscape.
