Description

The Palace Museum in Rogalin. A branch of the National Museum in Poznań is a true pearl of architecture and art. This 18th century palace, built by Kazimierz Raczynski, combines the styles of Baroque, Rococo and Classicism.

Inside awaits an impressive gallery with nearly 500 works of art, including Jan Matejko's monumental painting 'The Maiden of Orleans'. The palace library resembles scenes from Hogwarts!

The park surrounding the palace hides more than 1,500 century-old oak trees, some of which are as old as 800 years. The three most famous - Lech, Czech and Rus - are named after the legendary founders of Poland, Bohemia and Rus.
