Description
The Princes Czartoryski Museum is one of the oldest museum facilities in Poland, founded by Princess Izabela Czartoryska in 1796.
The museum features masterpieces of world art, including Leonardo da Vinci's famous 'Lady with an Ermine' and paintings by Rembrandt. The collection also includes art of ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome, as well as Islamic decorative arts and Polish historical memorabilia.
The exhibition is spread over two floors in the historic complex, and it takes about 90 minutes to tour the 21 small rooms. Special facilities, including sensory displays, have been prepared for people with disabilities.
