Description
The Maria Koterbska mural is an impressive 260-square-meter piece of street art created by the Czary-Mury art duo.
The mural depicts a portrait of the famous Polish singer Maria Koterbska along with the streetcar line 17, a symbol of Wroclaw. The artist became famous for her performance of the 'Wrocław Song', which became the unofficial anthem of the city.
The mural was hand-painted by Marek Grela and Marta Piróg, using techniques similar to traditional painting and ceramic mosaics. It is visible to thousands of passengers passing through this transportation hub, where seven streetcar lines intersect.
