Description
The Church of St. Paul the Apostle in Bochnia is an exceptional example of modern religious architecture. Built between 1981 and 1985 on the western slope of Kolan Hill, it is distinguished by its 48-meter high tower with a 3-meter high cross.
The interior of the church impresses with its artistic details - stained glass windows by Jozef Furdyna, a polyptych of St. Paul by Lucjan Orzech and a painting of the Merciful Jesus.
The cornerstone for the building was consecrated by Pope John Paul II at the Vatican in 1982, which gives the place special spiritual and historical significance.
