Description
The former Ward B of the Hospital for the Nervously and Mentally Ill in Lubliniec is a fascinating historical monument with a complex and grim past.
Established in 1894, the facility served as a psychiatric institution and was converted into a children's clinic known as 'Jugendpsychiatrische Klinik Loben' during World War II.
The site has great educational value for those interested in the history of psychiatry, eugenics and the impact of the war on Poland. The architecture of the building is a significant example of early 20th century psychiatric hospital design.
