Pico de la Zarza

Pico de la Zarza is Fuerteventura's highest peak rising 807 meters above sea level. The trail to the summit begins in Morro Jable and offers unforgettable panoramic views of the entire island, especially the picturesque Cofete beach.

The trail, which is about 14 kilometers long (round trip), is well-marked and accessible to people of moderate fitness. During the hike you may encounter wild goats, lizards and rare bird species, including the endangered Egyptian vulture.

Be sure to bring water, sunscreen and comfortable trekking shoes!
