Description
The Scenic Spot of Pearl River Source is a true paradise for nature lovers. This national park, located in Yunnan Province, impresses with its picturesque mountain scenery and unique flora. More than 95% of the area is covered by forests, which are home to 190 species of plants, including impressive rhododendrons reaching heights of 30 meters.
Mount Maxiong is the headwaters of three rivers, which has earned it the nickname 'One Water Flows Three Rivers.' The area is inhabited by charming animals, including pheasants, squirrels and mink.
The best time to visit is in spring and summer, when the rhododendrons are in bloom, creating a fairy-tale setting ideal for photographers and hikers.
