Description
Folgefonna National Park is a magical place in the heart of Norway, home to the continent's third largest glacier. Stretching over 545 square kilometers, the park impresses with spectacular landscapes featuring glittering glacial rivers, dramatic mountain valleys and cascading waterfalls.
It's an adventurer's paradise - from glacier trekking to summer skiing to ice climbing. Nature lovers will appreciate the opportunity to observe reindeer, polar foxes and a variety of bird species, including the bald eagle.
The Langfoss waterfall - the fifth highest in Norway - is worth seeing, as well as the Rosendal Stone Park, showcasing the Earth's evolution through colorful rocks and geological samples.
