Paignton Zoo

Paignton Zoo is one of the best zoos in the UK, spread over 32 hectares.

It's a place where more than 2,000 animals live in naturally arranged displays that recreate a variety of ecosystems - from savannah and wetlands to tropical forest and desert.

Unique attractions include an orangutan island, glass enclosures for big cats, and Lemur Wood, where you can walk across suspension bridges while lemurs leap over trees. Also fascinating is Crocodile Swamp with paths winding over Nile, Cuban and saltwater crocodiles.
