Strawberry Line

Strawberry Line is a unique bicycle and pedestrian route, following in the footsteps of the former railroad line from Yatton to Cheddar. Over a distance of about 10.5 miles, you'll discover a variety of landscapes - from flat wetlands and apple orchards to the steep forested valleys of the Mendip Hills.

The route is famous for its rich railroad history, and got its name from transporting strawberries from Cheddar. Today it is home to a diverse fauna, including otters, snakes and many species of birds.

The gravel surface works well in most weather conditions, although it can get muddy after rain. Ideal for a family outing, it is also accessible to wheelchair users.
