Opéra Garnier

Opéra Garnier is a masterpiece of Second Empire architecture, combining elements of Baroque, Classicism and Renaissance.

The interior impresses with a monumental marble staircase, a magnificent foyer with allegorical paintings, and a horseshoe-shaped auditorium capable of seating nearly 2,000 people.

The building is decorated with numerous sculptures, paintings and mosaics by well-known artists. The dome above the auditorium depicts Millet's masterpiece 'Apollo with lyre between Poetry and Music'.
